Stillness “R” Us

This is a speech I wrote for a Toastmasters presentation:

Namaste.

This ancient greeting is sometimes translated as “The Stillness within Me greets the Stillness within You.” The word “stillness” is simply a pointer to something much deeper, the ground of our being that can’t be comprehended by our minds, which are tiny fractions of this whole.

It’s a common belief that what sets humanity off from the rest of life on this planet is self-awareness. It seems that at some point in the not-too-distant past, we started using language as a set of pointers to, or symbols for, objects our minds differentiated from the rest of the continuum of the world we perceived. Implicit in this observation was the existence of a separate observer, which eventually became the powerfully held psychological “I” that characterizes modern people. When we put a name on anything, including this “I,” we tend to make an assumption that we then know what it is. If you examine it this is obviously impossible, as the qualities and relationships even the simplest “things” have greatly exceed our capacity to hold them in mind.

Science assures us that the world we perceive is an image assembled in our minds from neural impulses. I’m going to move to phenomena that go along with these apparently real models we all seem to share, referencing the graphic at the top.

The top section is a very crude simplification of how we experience our perceptual field. We model the world of form before our mind’s eye, as a plane with shapes of different colors and different brightnesses on it. The objects may be clearer or more blurry, and may seem closer or farther away, but they’re arrayed on a screen-like plane we conceive of as being seen from a single point of observation. Normally we only pay attention to forms near the center of this plane, but if we “get still” we may notice that forms seem to be at certain angles of arc from the center of this screen up to an extreme of 90 degrees away from center in any direction. We can’t really see at these extreme angles, but we have a conceptual sense of them. Because the mental plane we model our pictures on is infinite in all directions, it takes up 180° from our point of observation no matter how far our point of observation is from the plane.

We have a hypnotic sense of the distances involved in what we see, but these distances are all relative, based on our sense of the scale of our bodies. And they’re finite, there’s always something beyond what we see. Let’s consider distances and how they might relate to something that’s more than relative. Current theories hold that our universe emerged from nothingness on the order of 14.7 billion, that’s with a “Bill,” years ago. It emerged from a dimensionless point in the midst of infinity. And it’s temporal progression commenced from eternity. Infinity and eternity, two concepts that essentially boggle the mind.

The universe emerged from the no-thing thing that sages throughout human history have said is the One Reality, one word for which is Stillness. “A Course in Miracles” famously says that “Nothing real is threatened, nothing unreal exists.” So the universe somehow emerged out of the real, and has, theoretically, been expanding at the speed of light for 14.7 billion years, give or take. It’s expanding into infinity. How much unconditioned space is there still outside of its vastness? An infinity. From this perspective, the 29 billion light-year wide spheroid of the universe can still be seen as a relative dot. All distances in it are relative to time-of-travel. And it’s surrounded and interpenetrated by this infinite no-thing thing, which is present at every point within the unfolding universe right now.

This stillness has no frequency, paradoxically it infinitely pre-existed anything that had any quality of vibration. It’s open to and allows every spacio-temporal phenomenon that’s emerged within it without resistance. Let’s go back to our model of our perception. Everything on “our” side of this plane is the subjective, on the other side, the objective. In a sense, this plane is the first division that takes place in the space of the void, like where it says in Genesis “And God divided the light from the darkness.” We know that looking out at the world of form, there’s light. So, what the heck is back there, behind our visual field? How far does it go? What is happening where we perceive the light striking the plane? Where exactly is our point of observation, and what is right here, immediately where whatever we really are is right now?

A fruitful question to ask is whether this very apparent division between what’s “out there” and what’s “in here” is actually real, or is it perhaps a mental artifact? If it’s in mind, what is the awareness that’s creating the separation?

And if this division is artificial, made by us, then truly, Thou art That, or as said in Sanskrit:

Tat Tvam Asi – Stillness R Us

Paul Craig Roberts: “That’s Right, We’re BAD”

Roberts-immoral

To GlobalResearch.ca

Editors,

Paul Craig Roberts, in his recent article “Morality versus Material Interests: Myths of Our Time” argues that “the United States is an immoral country.” This, because we tolerate the actions of “our” government in the illegal and brutal colonial enterprises in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, not to mention incidental uses of political violence throughout the globe and possible impending actions in Iran, Georgia, etc.

Yet, “Authoritative Rejection of Afghanistan War,” another current article on Global Research, argues that “American” elites (including, notably, Zbigniew Brzezinsky) are rejecting the voice of the U.S. people, as expressed according to the best information available in what passes for public media now. It seems clear that the actions of the U.S. military are supported by some confluence of elite planning worldwide. If that is the case, such a hypothesized consensus is making use of these amoral actions to advance their interests, which I believe involves ongoing centralization of decision-making powers, frequently publicly characterized by these planners themselves as a New World Order.

It may ultimately be convenient for international oligarchs to project blame for the horrors inflicted on millions of people in the domination of Central Asia on the United States, a “rogue nation” and classic example of why national sovereignty must be reigned in by the lofty wisdom of impartial global elites. Then we, the people of the United States, who despite the best mind-control that money and technology can provide, still oppose the violence of the U.S. war machine, will arguably deserve whatever repression befalls us, after having served as the cats-paws of advancing global destabilization so admirably.

Let’s look with clarity at who promotes and benefits from violence, repression, and murder. “Immorality” is really lack of skillful recognition of our connections with others and with all of Life. It calls for correction, not punishment, and for seeing precisely who those embodying it are.

Waking Up Is Hard to Do(?)

There’s Something Happening Here. What It Is Ain’t Exactly Clear.”
wakingStephen Stills: For What It’s Worth

Everybody knows, at least at a subliminal level, that humankind are facing a pivotal transition. What this transition is, what’s driving it, and what it means for the shape of the lives ahead are shrouded in mystery, and steeped in fear for most of us. It’s brutally obvious for anyone paying attention that the pipelines into the perceptions of the masses of our sisters and brothers have been bought or co-opted by people who are dedicated to sophisticated control of the understandings we assemble from the words and pictures they present to us.

For the most part, the human family are living in a starkly limited reality-set that hasn’t changed much in the course of recorded history. And according to this picture it seems that we’re fast running out of highway between our speeding Cadillac and the concrete abutment of scarcity, social dissolution and war just ahead. And it seems that the PTB prefer not only to keep it that way, but even to enhance our blinkered tunnel-vision, to take us back to a simpler time, when life was sweet and easy, to a time that never was.

Zbigniew Brzezinski has been talking vehemently for several years about what he keeps calling a “global political awakening”( more links: 2, 3), which he characterizes as “a sudden stirring of political awareness, unleashed passions, fermenting excitement, and escalating aspirations.” Brzezinski, I think, knows very well that this awakening is more than simply political. They know something’s happening, and that explains much of what’s unfolding on the world stage.

“I’m very troubled that a very vague, emotionally stated, semi-theologically defined diagnosis of the central global menace is obscuring our national ability to comprehend the historically unprecedented challenge that is being posed in our time by a massive global political awakening, and thus is obstructing our ability to deal effectively with the global political turmoil that this awakening is generating.” Transcript of Brzezinski quoted in the clip from “Architects of Control: Mass Control…”

This “vague” diagnosis that Zbig is complaining about is at the heart of the human transformation underway. It’s also of note that he gets that it’s semi-theologically defined. What is emerging among the awakening mass of humanity is a direct seeing of the truth that religions have historically tried to co-opt. More and more, we have a sense of what is simply appropriate, and Brzezinski’s “central global menace”  is the mass-delusion standing between us and ourselves. Of course this is obstructing the ability of the PTB to “deal effectively” with the turmoil. We are the turmoil from which something is coming forth. What Brzezinski is saying is that the awakening is confusing to the “national” hierarchy of power.

“Currently, the transnational elite are very aware of the increasing social tensions among the worlds majority. As the crisis deepens, tensions will rise, and the chances of revolt and revolution from below greatly increase. Governments everywhere, particularly in the Western industrialized nations are building massive police states to monitor and control populations, and are actively preparing for martial law and military rule in the event of such a situation unfolding.

“However, the transnational elite are undertaking their own revolution from above. This revolution is encompassing the restructuring of the global political economy through their orchestrated economic crisis.” – Global War and Dying Democracy: The Revolution of the Elites by Andrew Gavin Marshall

Marshall’s thesis is that what he calls the transnational elite have co-opted every significant social unrest in recent history to institute a new elaboration of their systems of control, and that this time we are entering “the final stage in the ‘global control’ strategy” where what he calls a “Global Cartel” are trying to extend their hegemony globally, rendering the “notion of exit” from their system “meaningless.”

Marshall also explicitly outlines how this Cartel primarily represent banking interests behind control of previous social movements. This raises the question of who saw and seized upon the potential for control of finance to be the master lever to drive all sectors of world society toward a unitary regime, and of what motivated them to envision seizing it. Now the central nature of this control has emerged in the autocratic creation of fantastic sums of fiat “money” by the finance sector, transferred to their own interests at a whim, secured by the “full faith and credit” of a nation now revealed as perpetual debt slaves should these policies stand.

In a recent article on Information Clearing House, Bill Noxid writes about how ignorant Americans are being herded into a travesty of so-called “Health Care Reform” by “an almost inescapable indoctrination process” that permeates every level of society. He apparently thinks that people who have been raised under this system are basically morally culpable for remaining “nitwits,” and spends most of the article taking to the woodshed identified moron Katy Abram, who briefly took center stage at an Arlen Specter “Town Hall” propaganda event.

Abram, a self-confessed political neophyte, was, despite her lack of creds, intrepid enough to stand and express her anger and dismay toward the perfidy that she felt Specter represents. She said, “I don’t believe this is just about healthcare, it’s not about TARP,  it’s not about left and right, this is about the systematic dismantling of this country.  I’m only thirty-five years old, I’ve never been interested in politics.  You have awakened the sleeping giant.  We are tired of this.  This is why everybody in this room is so ticked off.  I don’t want this country turning into Russia – turning into a socialized country.  My question for you is what are you going to do to restore this country back to what our founders created according to the Constitution.”

Noxid feels that this is a “meaningless statement,” and that the question it ends with is “unanswerable.” He goes on to quote from a longer interview Abram did with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell on Hardball,  unable to conceal his withering contempt for her having slept through the decade leading up to the brazen sacking of our treasury by Goldman Sachs, the Fed, et al. He concludes that her pathetic ignorance is what has allowed the horrendous damage committed by this country against the lands and peoples of the world.

However, from my POV, what Katy said is a clear indication of exactly what she pointed out. “You have awakened the sleeping giant.” There’s something happening that is overturning decades of the best mind-control that money can buy. From every rational indicator, humanity are on the ropes, the walls are closing in, and you can put a fork in us. But Katy Abram, who was never interested in politics, is noticing that it “just seems common place” that “we’ve kind of been at war.” For ever since she can remember.

For a dyed-in-the-wool Progressive®, this is of less-than-no significance. “We” know everything that’s going on, we know in exhaustive detail how bad “They” are, and we’re totally against it. But perhaps the forces that are acting toward this transformation are working on everyone, regardless of their political savvy or correctness, subliminally, below the surface, below even the ravages of MK Ultra and Project Monarch, closer to where we live.

What’s it going to take to get us to awaken collectively, recognize the (should be) obvious insanity, to get it that our Sacred Space has been invaded and is on the verge of being overwhelmed? To see that fighting what truly seems an “evil” force only feeds it like projecting our power out onto a skyscraper-sized Sta-puft Marshmallow Man, is to enter the zone of teachability. We cannot use the force of this denial-of-Life, denial of what is, to bring it back into affirmation, as long as we see it as “other.” As long as we’re stuck in believing that what we see is wrong, and that anything can be out of tune with the rest of the all-that-is, we’re feeding the madness. Which the madness is very good at getting us to do.

“While people are controlled and manipulated through crisis and disorder, so too can people be awoken to seeing the necessity of knowledge and critical thought. When one’s life is thrown into disorder and chaos, suddenly observation, information and knowledge become important in understanding how one got into that situation, and how one can escape it.” Marshall, Global War and Dying Democracy

The understanding of the quantum field that is penetrating and informing our mass consciousness tells us that nothing stands separate from anything else, that all-that-is is a seamless continuum. If we’re gonna make it out of this Tight Spot (damn) and into the Noosphere (whatever that is) we’ll need to let go of the locks we have on the familiar, on all of our ideas about who we are and who others are, and on needing control. And more subtly, we aren’t the one who’s surrendering, we (the ego) are not about that – we’re about control, getting approval, and security. The real “us” must keep seeing what’s being held on to, and noticing that it’s not true, ad infinitum. When we simply see that grasping onto what we fear losing keeps us stuck in repetitious loops that are painful for us and for others, there’s no question about letting go, it just happens.

And meantime, we deal with Life, on it’s own terms, without arguing with it, making ourselves right or others wrong. And let’s do it together, holding out our hands to anyone who has the least desire to get unstuck.

I Pledge Allegiance

I_Pledge/Obama_JokerA lot of the time recently, I find myself reminded of the Caterpillar/Butterfly metaphor for the transformation the world seems (obviously…or maybe not) to be going through as time races, slouching toward Washington DC to be born.

This has, sadly, penetrated most aspects of my life as well, as I stare amazed at the unfolding images of devolution, florid manipulation, disease and Full-Spectrum Dominance emerging from the liquid crystal display. I am chronically, and seemingly ineffectively “between jobs.” This is a place from which I’ve generally found some kind of semi-creative service to perform for people locally that allows me to sustain a quasi-bourgeois lifestyle for a few years. But with the Mother Of All Bubbles getting ready to bust on the world stage, and with practically every aspect of “my life” sliding into chaos and begging for some kind of upgrade, it mostly seems the best I can do is bring some still attention to the unravelling, the drumbeat of control invading our sacred space, the sound of the caterpillar turning into soup inside.

A few months ago I joined Santa Cruz Downtown Toastmasters, a local branch of the famous 85 year-old organization for helping develop public speaking and leadership skills. Before going, I never actually knew what went on in TM, and suspected that a lot of it was related to career development. But it turns out that it’s a very complex mix of personalities and ideas. Perhaps because we’re in Santa Cruz, there seems to be an iconoclastic bent to the members generally. So, there’s a cross-pollination of viewpoints and styles, and a very creative tension between the belief that its best to do things by the numbers as the system is there for a reason, and the alternative that the highest wisdom is in following your heart.

One of the adamantine traditions of Toastmasters is the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of each meeting. In our club, this is prefaced by a “prayer,” which mostly takes a form like a brief statement about something related to mores or values, a brief annecdote with a message, or, perhaps a poem. Last week I was scheduled to fill the Prayer and Pledge role, and I wrote the following:

It says in the pledge that we pledge allegiance to the Republic for which this flag stands. Why did they put that in there? A Republic is supposed to be a government that draws what Jefferson called its just powers from the consent of the people governed. In a Republic, government only exists for the benefit of a people who are its Sovereigns. The only authority above any Sovereign is the unnameable mystery that brought each of us into being. No lawful Republic ever has more right to invade the lives of its Sovereigns than any Sovereign has to invade the life of anyone else. When this is in balance, something sacred becomes possible among a Sovereign people, something that can sometimes be felt in the stillness behind the words of the pledge.

Now, if you’re so inclined, please stand and join in the Pledge of Allegiance.

I stand up with the other members of the club for the pledge, but merely bow my head in respect and don’t recite it. A friend of mine in the club won’t even stand – he told me how he can’t participate because he feels it’s completely hypocritical. I guess he means for him. I simply can’t pledge allegiance to a bit of hanging fabric, however symbolic of the hypothetical union of free Americans. After all, what kind of loyalty is possible to an inanimate object? Some people no doubt find this offensive, as it may show them that you aren’t hewing to the hive-mind, don’t intend to follow the logic of group-think no matter what.

We’re living in a time when we need to get clear on exactly what we can pledge allegiance to. And I don’t think that following the call of anything that’s less than absolutely essential to our true nature is going to work in negotiating the narrows of this transition. Personally, I think that those of us who are willing to allow the emergence of our natural state of ease, presence and awareness will gravitate without trying into the company of others learning to awaken from the spell of the ego, and that we will wake up together into a new life situation that is unimaginable now from within the context of consensus reality. In this process, we’ll find that our ultimate allegiance is to what’s true.

There’s never any use arguing with anyone about what this is. It can’t be encapsulated into any form that can be held in mind. The moment I call someone else wrong, I start to strengthen the delusion of my sense of an imaginary separate self. That delusional self feeds on the drama of making someone else wrong, of holding energy with them. This is really holding energy within myself, or, as Eckhart Tolle would say, feeding my pain body.

If, instead, my allegiance is to the unnameable mystery that stands behind any conflict without judgment, the formless awareness at my core is in direct non-local connection with the awareness in the obvious phenomenon of another being who is no longer “Other.” My energy is no longer trapped in defending my delusion. My heart is open to life.

Debra Rae: Believer Raps Eckhart Tolle Bigtime

It was after careful consideration, and several readings of the article from News With Views (http://www.newswithviews.com/Rae/debra39.htm) that is the subject of this commentary, that I decided to write this long reply. The ideas involved are hot button issues these days, often involving much fear and deeply ingrained belief systems that are difficult to examine impartially. With many of them this has been true for hundreds, even thousands of years, and it’s now even more true in this time of social ferment, widespread stress, and personal and institutional transitions. I don’t wish to attack any person or system of faith, but to question the unconscious assumptions underlying beliefs that seem to drive judgments against other people, in the hope that we can, with tolerance and good will, see beyond these apparent divisions. – Bruce (Rae article also posted at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/a_new_earth/message/75)

Dear News with Views,

I was interested to see that you posted an editorial by Debra Rae that I’ve seen posted elsewhere by people who have a focus on alternative information about current events, called, confusingly, “ONLY IMAGINE TOLLE’S NEW EARTH,” subtitled on your front page link as “Beware of New Age false prophets sweeping the planet.” This article is a very negative, subjective, and often totally wrong presentation of Eckhart Tolle’s work, and specifically of his webinars with Oprah Winfrey on his recent book, “A New Earth.”

It presents a very few of the ideas covered in those webcasts, and those in distorted ways, either through a lack of attentiveness to what Eckhart actually said, or with deliberateness due to the apparent extreme disagreements with his information (understandable if she agrees with the assessment of him as a “false prophet”). Additionally, Ms. Rae, without linking references, associates Tolle with: what she call the ‘esoterically “awakened” Beatles’ (a code phrase, I assume, and an apparent reference to the word awakening as used by Eckhart); various unidentified “Humanist Manifestos;” the causes of the Cambodian genocide; advocates of something called “homonoeticus;” “New Age” solar occultism; and a “harmonized” utopian globalism she calls “common-ism,” another term – and concept – that Tolle never, from my close readings of his work, begins to approach.

Repeatedly, without providing examples, Ms. Rae puts words into Tolle’s mouth: he wants to end property; he doesn’t think there’s anything worth fighting for (implying, it seems that killing, though proscribed by the Ten Commandments she advocates, is appropriate for the godly), he teaches “grandiose interdependence” and “self-deification;” he perceives “global unity … as imperative to proper flow of the god-force;” that Eckhart judges between “the perfect” and the “not-so-perfect” and (I guess) espouses perfection (of the ego?), making him an Aquarian “the sign of the perfected man” teacher (again, a code word for the instruction of apostate Christians under Tolle’s sway); and he asserts that Jesus was “an ascended master” (one more term Tolle doesn’t use). Little that she ascribes to him is really part of his very simple, clear, effective and non-confrontational expressions, which at points she actually compliments with the implication that his “ease and clarity” are diabolical.

She mistakenly identifies John Lennon’s “Imagine” as having been a Beatles/Lennon/McCartney composition, and somehow, Eckhart Tolle’s theme song, every word part of Eckhart’s “gospel,” a term she uses sarcastically. She says that Marianne Williamson channeled “A Course in Miracles” (actually created by Helen Shucman and William Thetford), and that the Course’s use by Oprah is somehow suspect and “advances Tolle’s wholly redefined spiritual mindset,” a phrase that, again, attacks without clearly expressing supposed errors on his, or Oprah’s parts. The above are, perhaps, trivial errors, but they speak to what seems a powerful emotional drive to use rhetoric to invalidate Tolle’s work at whatever cost.

In particular, Ms. Rae seems to focus on her interpretation of what Eckhart seems to her to be talking about when he points out that the present moment is all that ever is, as if this viewpoint is a magic escape invented by him which eliminates responsibility for our actions “thus disallowing commensurate consequences (for choices made here-and-now) in the hereafter.” She states that Tolle’s “avowing” living in the Now is a denial of heaven and hell through which

“purportedly enlightened folks, as he, presume to wriggle free from accountability to a righteous God. In effect, these become self-proclaimed laws unto themselves.”

Actually, what Eckhart, and other non-dual wisdom teachers in the unprecedented human awakening taking place now, are saying is more like – that the wholeness we are, which has been erroneously limited under the mental label “God,” is innately, integrally, at the core of what we (and all things) truly, as opposed to any false ego-identity, are. This implies that when we are “at war” with anyone else, we are not experiencing life or our apparent “enemy” as they are, but through the interpretation of our ego – the imaginary “me” we tend to fall into assuming we are.

Moreover, and crucially, what Tolle is suggesting is that we are each always totally responsible for our state of awareness right now, very different from what Rae calls “assum(ing) some imagined state of transcendent Christhood while basking in the perpetual `Now.’” When we are out of alignment with our true natures, in a trance state based on living in the past or projecting into an imagined future, or on constantly retelling ourselves the story of our life of separation, we then start to create our own subjective hell, that is, an experience of suffering.

A Story Based on Fear

Early in her piece, Ms. Rae says “Today’s changing world is increasingly threatening and all the more challenging to navigate.” This is a kind of understatement in these days of increasing international warfare that threatens to go nuclear, financial and career instabilities, natural disasters and ecological degradation. I think perhaps she’s offering this as a gesture of understanding to those who seem to be a key part of the audience for her article, Christians whose unquestioning faith is wavering in the face of “a Tolle-propelled “Cult of Oprah” embraced even by Christians unschooled in apologetics.” Presumably, Debra Rae is offering these straying lambs a crash-course in “contending for the faith as the Bible admonishes them to do,” based clearly on instilling fear in the loss of their places in the heavenly hereafter (the consequences of their “choices made here-and-now”). Falling back into such a belief colors the story of the imaginary separate self with a deeply hypnotic sense of reality, in which clarity is unlikely.

So while making a showing of countering Tolle’s arguments (albeit inaccurately presented) rationally, Rae falls back heavily on basing her persuasion on belief in the infallibility of Biblical scripture: her interpretation of the meaning of Moses’ burning bush; “the impending Millennial Rule of Christ on earth;” the labeling of (something?) she ascribes to Eckhart as “an outright lie” by the apostle Paul; the “reality” that “the “perfect” (mature) man of Ephesians (4) achieves “the measure of the stature that belongs to the fullness of Christ;” “the one whose name is above all names.”

She mystically invokes “the sacred name of god,” writing that Tolle attributes it to “a company of highly evolved masters… each of whom claims transcendent consciousness and common divinity with all life.” While Eckhart clearly sees that the truth of our divine inner nature is at the heart of the teaching of many great masters, he has never, to my knowledge, spoken of a sacred name. Rae says that the claims of “transcendent consciousness and common divinity” are somehow also claims of “total power.” However, any true spiritual master makes no such claims for his or her small self, and is intimately aware that total power rests only with the all-that-is, that which is sometimes labeled “god,” paradoxically at the heart of each of us, yet never an ego-identity. Eckhart says that that heart IS what we truly are, but rather than some kind of mantle of power, is only realized through continual surrender to it without imposing the demands of ego in the least.

Ms. Rae says that the success of Eckhart Tolle and Oprah Winfrey’s online class series, and particularly that Christians who give it credence without “contending for the faith,” are “sure signs of the times.” Another sign of the times is certainly the ongoing fascist globalist agenda. Nearly half of “ONLY IMAGINE TOLLE’S NEW EARTH” is devoted to associating Eckhart Tolle’s work on self-awareness with the creation of this dictatorial one-world government. If “New Age” teachers are working hand-in-hand with the Rothschild’s, Bilderbergers, Trilateralists, Round Table, Council of 300, Tavistock Institute, CFR, Club of Rome, etc., to bring this about, then certainly they need to be called on it. But Eckhart speaks repeatedly of the insanity of the human ego, as clearly exemplified by the efforts of hierarchical leaders to dominate the world situation to satisfy the inevitable demands of the ego-structures they’re identified with.

One of Eckhart’s principal teachings is about how projection is fundamental to the structure of the ego, and how, therefore, in order to strengthen its domination of our awareness it needs to have enemies. Anyone or anything that threatens the always-questionable stability of an ego is a prime candidate for enemy status – as is evident in Bush’s infamous “you’re either with us or against us,” the prosecution of whistle-blowers, the demonization of figures like Martin Luther King or Wilhelm Reich. Eckhart Tolle has said that rigid religious structures are going to lose their hold over the minds of humanity as humans awaken to their direct connection to their living source. If one looks at the history of religions, going back to Babylon at the least, it’s clear that they are human artifacts used by the power elite to manipulate and dominate the masses.

Ms. Rae speaks very emphatically of “the Lord Jesus” being in another class of being from the rest of humankind – “God incarnate, Lord of lords, Author and Finisher of our faith.” But is she aware that Jesus’ deification was the product of a one-vote majority at the Council of Nicaea (where the accepted version of the Bible was also formalized as a political expedient), convened by then Roman Emperor Constantine, who was a follower of the same god Mithra whom she seems to abhor? It has been speculated by scholars that Constantine, in making Christianity the state religion of the Roman Empire, was bringing forward Mithraism by another name – for one thing, he moved the Sabbath to Sunday, the day of the Sun. One of the highlights of Mithraism is apocalyptic millennialism.

Institutional religions, or traditional theism as Ms. Rae calls it, have controlled world populations by moving peoples’ connection to the divine from within them (Jesus said that the Kingdom of God was within), to the priestcraft or to the pontiff (a title going back to the Babylonian mystery religion – Constantine was, like his preceding Emporers, Pontifex Maximus of the Babylonian religion before being the first Christian Pontifex). The collapse of this usurpation of our divine connection is what Eckhart Tolle is talking about, with the surrender of each of us at an egoic level to the formless one life within. If we cling to our slavery to this elite-ruled mystery-religion system that has kept us chained to the vampire-like structures of power throughout history, anything that threatens this will be seen as The Enemy.

Another aspect of the phenomenon of projection is our rejection of those parts of ourselves that we need to deny, which are then split off to become parts of our “Shadow,” which are then projected off onto “The Others,” by definition, our enemies, against whom any violence is justified. While Ms. Rae seems to scoff at Tolle’s observations of the horrific violence that has been perpetrated in the name of the Christian religion, the cataloguing of only the easily found examples would take up bloody pages. And now it seems, Rae is arguing to add Eckhart Tolle and anyone unfortunate enough to be taken in by his “sweetly reasonable” snake oil to the list of Infidels who threaten the eternal well-being of the faithful. The only way out of this ongoing process of splinterization, through which the power elite divide and rule, is the path of wholeness, of reunification involving the recognition of how all of us are ultimately the same. We need to see that we each share the qualities of “otherness” that we see outside ourselves, and to reclaim them.

As Jesus himself is recorded as saying (Matthew 22: 36-40): “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Are the Global Elite Fascist?

In an email list I follow, the moderator took exception to David Icke’s use of “fascism” in reviewing “Superclass: The Global Power Elite and the World They Are Making” by David Rothkopf, in which the global elite are ever so gently outed (link to Icke’s review). My first reply to this was:
—————–

Fascism: Right or Left?

I started discussing whether or not the current globalist agenda was Fascist intensely back in the early 90’s with self-identified Progressive activists organized around the struggle to save Berkeley California’s KPFA radio. Mostly people on those message boards disagreed with my assertions that the government was moving distinctly toward Fascism. At that time, from a Progressive perspective, they thought that Fascism would look like Nazism in Germany or Italy in the 1930’s, and were not interested in the unseen aspects of those movements, which were financed and enabled by the same forces working to control the devolution of society now.

The power elite have no qualms whatsoever about what surface identities of the institutions or forces they use to obtain their objectives. They are just as happy with using so-called Left elements in their social manipulation as with overtly authoritarian ones. Notice for instance the recent publicity around James Woolsey’s involvement in “Green Power” and environmental causes, while he still identifies himself as having Neocon roots (indicated by his recently urging John McCain to bomb Syria).

In my opinion Wilhelm Reich came close to the truth about the causes of totalitarianism and hierarchical control when he described it as “emotional plague” which mirrored the armoring, or chronic psychosomatic tension, of an individual at the societal level. He wrote about the similarities between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, both of which he was intimately familiar with. It seems to me that this top down, controlling behavior can also be seen as reflecting the structural nature of the ego as described in depth by Eckhart Tolle. His assertion, which conforms to my observations, is that every person who falls, as almost all of us in this culture do, into thinking that s/he is in fact a distinct phenomenon, separate from the unitary whole of formal reality, tends toward characteristic beliefs and behaviors. These include denying our connection to each other and to life as a whole, seeing the world we see “outside” as threatening, and projecting our suppressed ideas about the separate person we think we are out onto others and society. We see others as something dangerous to be controlled (as we coincidentally see our true selves, the formless consciousness we essentially are).

Again IMO, the people who think that they are driving the movement toward global hierarchical control have basically the same vision as did the Nazi’s in that they envision using technology and hard and soft weaponry to achieve cradle-to-grave social engineering. I think their ultimate vision is of attaining some kind of sustainable techno-feudalism that enables their hierarchies to exist indefinitely without being threatened by any resurgence of the unconditioned intelligence that underlies and supports the moment-to-moment life of the phenomenal world. They particularly want to keep anyone outside of themselves from threatening their rigid stance of control, but are also in terror of such an outbreak from within themselves.

We’re in a situation in which we’ve been socialized into thinking that we know who we are and what’s going on, without actually generally having the capacity to ask ourselves if this Cartesian worldview is true, or to see the erroneous assumptions (supported by massive anecdotal evidence due to collective misapprehensions of our direct experience) that underpin the house-of-cards. The widespread and divergent ideas that we are rapidly approaching some kind of shift in our understanding of ourselves and in planetary human affairs reflects a gradual breakdown of the spell of this highly limited consensus view of reality. Many people, including me, believe that some kind of awakening to the possibility that our minds can’t comprehend the nature of what we are or our situation in a final way is unfolding in current affairs.

This implies an awakening of a direct experiential nature to the unconditioned awareness of the heart-mind, deep self, stillness, or whatever pointer to “it” works for us at a given moment, on an unprecedented mass scale. If it is true that elite planners are basically motivated by defense of their ego structures, such an awakening, about which there is a very large amount of well-correlated intuitive information available which would obviously be of great pertinence to any effective defense of hierarchical social order, would be a worst-case scenario, on steroids.

Which is what David Icke, who has articulated the manipulation of both polarities of the Left-Right political spectrum by the global Superclass over a period of years now, with exhaustive evidence to suggest its truth, is saying when, at the end of his analysis of the book, says that “For the Hidden Hand time is short, so I doubt it will be long” before they advance on the “Superclass” modified-limited-hangout of suggesting that there might be an elite category of global citizens with more initiative and power than most of us. I know several otherwise smart and conventionally well-meaning people who believe that global governance is a complex thing beyond normal understanding, and should be left to those who know how (don’t try this at home). Moreover, they think that it’s going to happen anyway, so why waste our bandwidth considering the implications?

If we’re facing something tantamount to unassailable global slavery, does the question of whether it’s Neo-Liberal or Neo-Conservative matter much?

The moderator to the list responded with an adamant assertion that Fascism was one of three kinds of socialism, as described by Fredrich Hayek in “The Road to Serfdom,” and that what he call the Oligopoly is Capitalist, which is modeled on “free trade” to create control, and therefor absolutely not Fascism. So I sent him the following post, which he chose not to include to the list…
—————-

As I said in last post, while the list moderator published my previous post, he still held strongly that the current Global Management Team is an Oligopoly of Capitalists, distinctly not Socialists, therefor not Fascists. My second reply, not published on the list, was:

In reponse to The Global Elite – is it Fascist? from Peter M., May 7:

“Fascism is capitalism plus murder.” – Upton Sinclair

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power” – Benito Mussolini

“The first step in a fascist movement is the combination under an energetic leader of a number of men who possess more than the average share of leisure, brutality, and stupidity. The next step is to fascinate fools and muzzle the intelligent, by emotional excitement on the one hand and terrorism on the other.” – Bertrand Russell: Freedom, Harcourt Brace, 1940

Fascism – What’s in this word and is it of use?

Fascism derives its name from the fasces, a bundle of sticks surrounding a central stick with an axe-blade mounted in it. The bundle represented the power of the state when its subjects were bound together under what Mussolini later fatuously identified as a religious system of thought that bound individuals in “conscious membership in a spiritual society” (I hope it’s obvious that this is “emotional excitement” that’s eliciting the utter opposite of “conscious membership” from the True Believers). The axe-blade represented the power of life and death possessed by the Roman lictors, or office holders, when outside of the formal boundaries of Rome proper. The fasces are symbolically resonant as the banding together of a social collective with the capacity for aggression against those outside it – The Others. Wilhelm Reich, who ultimately denounced all collective political structures as a toxic Emotional Plague, described them as a betrayal of the healthy person arising out out of deep antipathy toward the self and others. Any group that has a collective identity of being different or superior to others is particularly ripe for being bound together with each other in a struggle against the perceived inferior outsiders.

Fascism is generally understood as an Authoritarian regime, particularly under the dictatorship of a single leader, though that leader may be a figurehead for a ruling faction or oligarchy. It’s also usually thought of as the mode of organization of a nation-state, which begs the question of whether the idea still applies when the ruling elites seem to favor a global system that supersedes all nations.

One thing that should be adequately clear regarding the current Terror State emerging in the United States, and, by implication of the involvement of the internationalist “think-tanks” such as the Bilderbergers, the Club of Rome, the CFR, the Trilateral Commission, Chatham House, the over-arching Round Table, etc., in the globalist agenda, is that it is undergirded by an ongoing power-structure that has continued to guide social and political affairs, at least in the West, for, at a minimum, several hundred years. Clearly, the elite planners controlling institutions in the U.S. were intimately involved in making the rise of Nazism, particularly as a modern armed power capable of launching trans-continental war, possible. There is also ample evidence that they funded and profited from the arming of all parties in that war, as well as in most wars in recent history.

If there is, indeed, an international oligarchy, surely its pinnacles of power must be associated with major banking power, and with ownership of the national and international central banks. Only through control of finance, which is the power to make demands on everyone living in societies based on monetary exchange, can the virtually unlimited resources necessary to shape institutions impacting every aspect of political and social change be realized.

This is not the result of unfettered competition, at least not in the public arena. John D. Rockefeller is famously quoted as saying “competition is a sin.” Rather, this ongoing process of centuries, if not millenia, is covert warfare in which the primary actors have always been those with more than an average share of financial resources, with the outwardly hostile determination to extend their preeminence to its maximum extent.

In the modern day, they include, of course, George Soros, who seems to be a sort of modern day Mayer Amschel Rothschild in that he saw and acted on possibilities of exploiting how people saw and used money to great effect. But as to whether his philanthropic activities actually indicate his true social views or philosophy is extremely questionable. I would argue that, like the Rockefellers (allies, certainly of the Rothschild interests), Fords, Carnegies, and, now, Warren Buffet and the Gates’, he uses charity as another salient of a strategic plan to affect society and the world in ways that increase his ambit and enhance the probability of success as defined by his ego-mind.

So we have these globalists, “a loose affiliation of millionaires and billionaires, baby,” who want to represent that they have the interests of all god’s chillen, the environment, and now, Gaia herself, at heart. Apparently, perhaps, a very different breed of cat than Adolf and Benito, they’re far-seeing visionaries now warning us of the impending catastrophes of global warming and the end of the cheap energy needed to feed the burgeoning human family. Yet, if they’re so powerful and compassionate, why do they seem so bent on lying to the people of the world through their privately controlled media? Why does crisis after crisis develop, apparently out of control until you find through the alternative media that these same elite citizens have economic interests and are meddling where the fires breakout? Why have GMOs been allowed to proliferate without common-sense oversight or attention to the mass of scientific and anecdotal information that suggests that their impact on the human food supply will disastrously outstrip that of Peak Oil(TM) or climate change? Why do arms continue to flow to every insurgency that can be whipped up anywhere on the planet? Why have dozens, if not hundreds, of discoveries in the areas of alternative energy, or even ways in which not-so-alternative energy could drastically reduce the need for petroleum and coal, been ignored or violently suppressed? Why is there such a constantly orchestrated campaign to paint diligent researchers in any areas that contradict popular mythologies as “conspiracy theorists,” or coming soon, I’m sure, terrorists?

Is is plausible that these captains of finance and (to a lesser extent these days) industry, who have the best intelligence that money can buy in every area of concern to them, don’t know what I’ve been able to figure out while struggling under the constraints of paying the rent and keeping my head above water? I doubt it sincerely. We are being sold 24-7-365 that these men and women are working devotedly to make the world less chaotic and more user-friendly, and that love and tolerance for those of a different (fill in the blank) than us is key to making this work. Yet if you watch TV for five minutes, all you see is hot-and-cold running judge-thy-neighbor and a bunch of stuff that you’re a chump if you don’t own.

It’s been common-place a century or more for people in the know to say things like “nothing in politics happens by accident.” And the non-accidental message is that we need to stick together in the bundle-of-sticks because the situation is so chaotic that if we don’t terrorists are going to get your mama. Leave the research and decision-making to experts and reduce your carbon footprint. All political systems function on a collectivist principle, from the top down, perhaps with subtle differences in criteria for the top dogs. And at a certain point near the top of the pyramid, the pinnacle vanishes. It’s just an oligarchy of fabulously successful social Darwinists, doing the best they can. But the effect is attack on, disempowerment, brutalization, empoverishment, cooptation, starvation and murder (and potentially massive genocide) of the great mass of humanity, sewing the seeds of anger and judgment toward ourselves and anyone we see as different along the way.

I say that if it swims like a duck and it quacks like a duck and if it always wants more like a duck, then it’s a duck. This is a Fascist power structure, searching for a single dictatorial leader. The top of the pyramid is invisible, but if you understand YOUR OWN ego structure you’ll know that there is no peace up there. Up there its an enhanced case of “there’s no honor among thieves,” where the players all check each other out endlessly, envy those seen as more powerful while scheming to usurp their places, and cast glances nervously below. How do I know this? Because it’s what my ego does when I forget my true nature and fall into believing I’m separate from life. Will they find their Ultimate Leader? To answer this question, try looking at George Bush. What’s going on there? Is he a reflection of our unconsciousness or what? I recommend highly Paul Levy’s “The Madness of George W. Bush: A Reflection on Our Collective Psychosis” to pursue this in more depth. But if David Icke is right, the final vision is for a one-world government with a single army, lifetime tracking and psychological management of each human, and one official Truth, not legally subject to scrutiny. It’s absurd, but there it is. And I think it’s fair to call it Fascist.

The Continuity in Government Project

Rumsfeld and Cheney Hang with President Ford

The political infrastructure for martial law in the U.S. is already in place. Apparently unsure that the USAPATRIOT Act(s) and the Military Commissions Act weren’t strong enough, on May 9, 2007, Bush issued a document doubly titled “National Security Presidential Directive/NSPD 51″ and “Homeland Security Presidential Directive/HSPD-20.” This document supposedly outlines the federal government’s plan for maintaining continuity in the face of a “catastrophic emergency.”

“Catastrophic emergency” is defined as “any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government function.” So, pretty much anything…

In the event of this improbable catastrophe, this unconstitutional legislation by the executive grants itself supreme power to ensure the continuity of Constitutional government. Good one.

In other words, NSPD 51/HSPD-20 would impose martial law under the authority of the White House through DHS. It would suspend constitutional government under the provisions of Continuity in Government (COG).

Since 2003, following the invasion of Iraq, Homeland Security (DHS) has contemplated time and again the possibility of a so-called code red alert “scenario” — using a potential or possible Al Qaeda terrorist attack on American soil — as a pretext for implementing martial law. At one time, Tommy Thompson Former Health and Human Services Secretary said that if we “went to” Code Red the entire civilian government would “shut down.” There are no known provisions for returning America from Code Red status, once it is invoked.

Michel Chosudovsky in “Bush Directive for a “Catastrophic Emergency” in America” writes:

“This Combined Directive NSPD /51 HSPD 20 grants unprecedented powers to the Presidency and the Department of Homeland Security, overriding the foundations of Constitutional government. NSPD 51 allows the sitting president to declare a “national emergency” without Congressional approval The adoption of NSPD 51 would lead to the de facto closing down of the Legislature and the militarization of justice and law enforcement:

The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government. In order to advise and assist the President in that function, the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counter terrorism (APHS/CT) is hereby designated as the National Continuity Coordinator. The National Continuity Coordinator, in coordination with the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (APNSA), without exercising directive authority, shall coordinate the development and implementation of continuity policy for executive departments and agencies. The Continuity Policy Coordination Committee (CPCC), chaired by a Senior Director from the Homeland Security Council staff, designated by the National Continuity Coordinator, shall be the main day-to-day forum for such policy coordination. (National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive NSPD 51/HSPD 20, emphasis added)

NSPD 51 grants extraordinary Police State powers to the White House and Homeland Security (DHS), in the event of a “Catastrophic Emergency”. The Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counter terrorism (APHS/CT), who is slated to play a key role in the eventuality of Martial law, is a key White House adviser, Frances Fragos Townsend.”

Of course, preparations for emergency management of the U.S. Government has by this time become a tradition here in the Homeland.

According to William M. Arkin in “Shadow Government” in the Case of a “Second 9/11:”

“Continuity programs began in the early 1950s, when the threat of nuclear war moved the administration of President Harry S. Truman to begin planning for emergency government functions and civil defense. Evacuation bunkers were built, and an incredibly complex and secretive shadow government program was created.

At its height, the grand era of continuity boasted the fully operational Mount Weather, a civilian bunker built along the crest of Virginia’s Blue Ridge, to which most agency heads would evacuate; the Greenbrier hotel complex and bunker in West Virginia, where Congress would shelter; and Raven Rock, or Site R, a national security bunker bored into granite along the Pennsylvania-Maryland border near Camp David, where the Joint Chiefs of Staff would command a protracted nuclear war. Special communications networks were built, and evacuation and succession procedures were practiced continually.

When the Soviet Union crumbled, the program became a Cold War curiosity: Then-Defense Secretary Dick Cheney ordered Raven Rock into caretaker status in 1991. The Greenbrier bunker was shuttered and a 30-year-old special access program was declassified three years later.

Then came the terrorist attacks of the mid-1990s and the looming Y2K rollover, and suddenly continuity wasn’t only for nuclear war anymore. On Oct. 21, 1998, President Bill Clinton signed Presidential Decision Directive 67, “Enduring Constitutional Government and Continuity of Government Operations.” No longer would only the very few elite leaders responsible for national security be covered. Instead, every single government department and agency was directed to see to it that they could resume critical functions within 12 hours of a warning, and keep their operations running at emergency facilities for up to 30 days. FEMA was put in charge of this broad new program.

On 9/11, the program was put to the test — and failed. Not on the national security side: Vice President Cheney and others in the national security leadership were smoothly whisked away from the capital following procedures overseen by the Pentagon and the White House Military Office. But like the mass of Washingtonians, officials from other agencies found themselves virtually on their own, unsure of where to go or what to do, or whom to contact for the answers.”

Continuity in Government programs have been one edge of the wedge to wrest control of the U.S. government away from Constitutional authority and put it in the hands of the secret teams under the direction of hidden interests. The elite decision-makers behind this crypto-fascist coup obviously include big finance, military corporations, elements of intelligence, and interlocking corporations, and also have curious deep ties to the creation and sustenance of the State of Israel.

It’s commonplace humor to refer to Dick Cheney’s being in a “secure location,” but he and Donald Rumsfeld have been intimately involved in Continuity in Government (COG) since their days in Congress. I’ve read several articles on this connection, but was interested to find that I could find no reference to this, or to much at all about the ongoing development of COG programs since the onset of the cold war.

It’s also interesting to note that in Arkin’s excerpt above he notes that for most of Official Washington the COG measures in place failed to take account for them, serving instead only some short list of insiders. This begins to make obvious just who this government serves.

An Inconvenient Truthiness

ChemtrailsThis is a reply to the message pasted below to our Santa Cruz Ron Paul Meetup from one of the members:

Dave,

Where are you getting your assertedly authoritative information? Because the post below looks a lot like recirculated propaganda to me. At this point, nobody knows what is causing global warming, though recently there seems to be a strong scientific consensus that solar activity is the dominant factor.

At any rate, “chemtrails,” which you blithely explain at the bottom of your post, do, in fact, contain barium and aluminum salts, both of which are very toxic to humans. In spider-web like strands found precipitating from them in multiple locations, various strange biological particles have been found, some of them eerily similar to dessicated red blood corpuscles. There are also aromatic hydrocarbons found in analysis of air taken by planes from the area of the trails themselves. Some people think that chemtrails are the source of the new disease called Morgellons syndrome, a strange skin condition .

This is a massive, global-wide project, the budget for which MUST be completely off the scale, hundreds, if not thousands of flights on a daily basis. This chemistry is attacking the immune systems of us all. This is so massive, that in satellite photos of the earth a white haze can be seen in the atmosphere, dramatically different than just a few years ago.

The government has been denying, then leaking spun information and spreading disinfo via the web, etc., repeatedly for years about this obviously human (military) caused phenomenon. The latest spin, hand in hand with the propaganda of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth,” seems to be that this is fighting global warming, as you assert in your post. Also obviously, a huge number of people must be involved in this project and the decision-making related to it, and to the secrecy surrounding it. How can this not be a conspiracy (particularly when we’re all breathing it)?

There has been a lot of speculation that putting these particulates into the atmosphere is related to electromagnetic frequency mind manipulation by the HAARP project and other EMF emission programs run by the military, who have espoused the doctrine of “full spectrum dominance” of the world, and have stated in their own documents that the enemy, and the battlefield, as seen by them, includes the people of America and their thinking and beliefs. People who have enough power to create a program like this and run it over our heads on a daily basis without the least transparency tend to run scenarios constantly to explore the options in their ongoing wars for control. They seem to very much prefer “synergies” where policy initiatives can cover multiple bases at once, as well as to have plausible deniability whenever their “hands get caught in the cookie jar.” So, this massive spraying is to protect us from climate change, never mind that we’re being poisoned as well as perhaps subjected to mental/emotional control. Not to mention that when and if a “world pandemic” might suit the agenda, the vector for spreading it is already conveniently in existence.

I would assert that whatever is happening is part of a great transformation that is beyond the control of the so-called “World Management Team.” It’s obvious that we’re facing profound changes in our ways of living, and coming relatively soon. Perhaps things might work better if we take the view that we CAN adapt to whatever is coming, and that it’s all part of what simply IS. But continuing to accept a situation where elite controllers, rather than share information about situations affecting everyone, feed us lies and partial truths designed to ensure our compliance, is not working for us. For me, this is central to what the Ron Paul Revolution is about.

Dave wrote:

This could be, but the animal world is feeling the consequences. We could be in a warm cycle-but it has been amplified.

The Jurassic was abundant in CO2-much much so, and the climate was correspondingly warm with minimal solid water at the poles. The oceans were greater-and the interior of what is now North America was the Tethys Sea.

Since the Cenozoic, the earth has been overall cooler and drier than in its younger years. Ice ages come and go, as do warm periods, but the amplitude of temperature extremes seems to be an absolute value-that is-there are no cold bouts per se but more warm bouts.

The rest of the animal kingdom can not evolve quickly enough to compensate for the rapid warming. There is a great anthropogenic mass extinction occurring right now due to habitat loss, the chemical, etc. industry, and due to climate change.

This really is not debatable, it unfortunately is reality.

Look up in the sky on any clear day and you will witness geo-engineering. Massive trails from jet exhaust streak the sky and expand into clouds. Tiny particles of aluminum and barium are contained in those clouds-along with unknowns.
The metal reflects solar rays back into space and cloud formation and induced precipitation is possible.

Some people call them chemtrails. These are in our sky every day since the late 90’s.

These are not contrails, and this is not a conspiracy. These are emergency measures to combat global warming on a massive scale. This is going on world wide. Look in the sky and you shall see.

Fascist Fellow-Travellers

A response to: Matthew Rothschild’s article on the FBI/InfraGard “partnership.”

The creation of a cadre of “special citizens” linked directly to federal law enforcement seems a direct parallel to the Nazi’s Gauleiters. The US imperium can’t control the 22 million or so remaining Iraqis. How the dickens will they control the perhaps 350 million people in the United States, particularly if their enforcers have any capacity for seeing commonality with the population? Of course they must deputize all of the available good germans. As the gentleman who runs the privatized homeland security company says, “It’s all who knows who. You know a face, you trust a face. That’s what makes it work.” Anyone who is not recognized as part of the inside group is part of “The Other.” This is the last stand of the insanity of the unquestionably identified ego-mind, and its struggle for approval, control and security. It directly parallels the movement toward the North American Union, which Jerome Corsi has presented evidence is being created to end any vestige of stability for the American middle class, creating a new Feudalism, where the only privileges extended outside of the ruling elite will be to those enabling control of the peasant class.

I think that part of the challenge for those of us who may not find having a privileged role abetting the domination of our fellow humans palatable, is to avoid taking this drive for control personally. If one understands the nature of a personality that sees itself isolated and separate from other people, from nature, and from life itself, this drive for domination and control is axiomatic. This is particularly true with the rise of the apparent technological power of humanity, which seems to make real the omnipotence of the ego, and to put the age-old dream of permanent absolute control of the entire planet in reach. It seems that this madness of the old consciousness is accelerating now in the world. It is, after all, Night 5 of the Galactic Underworld, as described by Carl Johan Calleman, from November of last year until Nov. 13 this year. This “heaven” period corresponds qualitatively with the Night 5’s of other Underworld periods, such as that of the Planetary Underworld (1755-2011) in which Night 5 spanned the years 1932-1952, roughly the era of the Nazi Reich, the “Great Depression,” and the “Good War.”

Right now it can seem very hypnotically possible that the forces of fascism in America might be able to institute martial law (as it says in the article “<DHS> said when – not if” it will happen…). But this may be simply our own ego-minds projecting the suggested “Cartesian Reality” into the imaginary future, with a strong moral judgment against (and fear of) those working to bring it about. When we operate in that kind of mode of thinking, we give our power away to “them.” It’s vital to understand that all of these actions of violence and control come out of unconsciousness and weakness, not omnipotence and power, and may wither under the light of clear inquiry and the understanding that the “evil” we see “out there” is a projection of our shadow material. The madness is growing partly as a response to the possibility of a planetary awakening from the dream of separation. Our mission, I would argue, is to support that liberation, not “fight” the unconsciousness.

Blog Reset

Tilt! I’ve just re-animated this blog, with all of the posts from the one I set up on a web-server account from the last year or so…

This new blog is hosted on WordPress.com, as having a stand-alone blog kinda felt isolating, not surrounded by a HUGE blogging community like WordPress. I’m using a theme called “Sandbox” which is customizable with CSS, not that I have any idea how to do that yet. But I was able to get a custom header, a two-column layout, and a wide space for copious verbiage, so far.

Further.
